I have moved over to TV3 after struggling to get my gdi card recognised. well TV3 now sees my card but how do I access the svhs signal from it? I just don't see any options to access it I am using the SVN from 01-04-2008.

I have tried scanning for the signal with no luck either. I know the card works because I can see a picture using the BlackGold software.

The card is the BlackGold GDI PCI card using the 5.11 drivers.

In TVSetup, goto TV Channels. Click Add, and goto the Analog tab, and choose source as SVHS#1 as an example.

Hi thanks for your reply I have tried what you said but I get this message

"channel not mapped to a card"

How do I map the channel to the card?

I think I have the answer the card I am using is supported for the digital signal but not the analogue signal. If I am correct I should see two cards one analogue and one digital.

Please advise me if I am correct

Yes that may be the problem. If you can go to TV Mapping and assign it to you card it will work, otherwise it won't even show up as a possibility under mapping for your digital card.

I wrote up a similar post addressing this issue and the value in using the svhs input on digital cards here; Using analog input on DVB-S card - MediaPortal Forum

Hopefully someone in the know will comment soon.
