I compiled svn 21658. After returning from standby/hibernation Mediaportal freezes with a black screen. That did not happen with svn 21527.

Also Mediaportal now does have a nice fade in-effect before starting TV/Video but it causes stutters in TV mode on channel change. That also did not happen with the older svn.

    beta service pack:

2009-02-09 23:13:23.649000 [Info.][MPMain]: Main: MediaPortal v1.0.0.0 is starting up on Windows Vista (Service Pack 2, v.275)

a lot of things may have changed. Can you plese try using the "restart MP after resume/standby" option ?

I already tested this option, no change. And there is no problem using Vista SP2 Beta with Mediaportal. I have deinstalled it once to make sure it is not the cause of the problem.

The behaviour of Mediaportal after returning from Standby: Mediaportal starts the Imon display (time is displayed). Nothing happens after that. Only a black screen. I can press ALT+F4 to return to the desktop. The process Mediaportal.exe is still open in the Taskmanager. After killing it manually I can restart Mediaportal again.

You don't have restart after standby option. Please try with it enabled and if this is not enough enable also S3 trick.

I had all this options enabled and tested many times. After standby I get the black screen again and nothing happens. Even on my fresh installed Vista system - the behaviour is the same.

Then I can see only two options:

    1. You put the updated restart.vbs in the wrong folder
    2. Something odd is occuring as this script is not invoked

Restart.vbs itself is running fine. If I start it manually while Mediaportal freezes after standby the script restarts Mediaportal successfully. But Mediaportal does not start the script itself even it is checked in the options. The problem is not Restart.vbs, it's just a bug that was introduced with the latest svn changes.

However I just installed the svn from 23.1. and the problem is gone. It is very annoying and I can't wait until someone fix the problem.

    Hi,

nope... I've got the same prob. on my System with the newest SVN, changing back SVN 21306 everything works again. Tried the the mentioned restart options in config to and nothing. Using the working restart.vbs from working svn 21306 did not change anything :(

Seems as if the vbs ist'n started?

I'm on an WinXPServicePack3 Sys with all Updates and an NVidia 9500gt with newest drivers and a Hauppauge HVR4000 newest drivers.

Will provide logs as soon as It will be possible for me.

    Regards
