Its working fine here with 1.1b (also SVT ABC).
Could it be decoder dependent, what decoder have u tested?

I'm on 1.0.2 (stable) and have a similar problem when "STV Östnytt" comes on the picture freeze and the only way to get it to start again is to change channel. I have collected logs and a .ts file from when the problem ocurrs and contacted Ambass (the developer who solved the problem for some people in this thread). I haven't yet heard from Ambass but I hope he has time to look into the problem.

Maybe we should also start a bug report thread and post logs and system specs from different users so that developers can have more troubleshooting data.

I'm on vista x86, using ac3filter for ac3 and ffdshow for the other audio codecs in live tv. For MPEG2 video I'm using ffdshow, NV12 and "set interlace flag on". I know that this codec is black listed but I don't really have a choice here for good pic quality and no flickering in the GUI.

Good idea, I will post logs during this weekend since I have to plan the debug-mode and quite a lot on my schedule right now.

By unticking Prefer AC3 sound the local new is indeed working. But then I won't get 5.1 sound when that is available in other shows, or? Is there some other way of getting 5.1 sound _and_ lcoal news to work?

Ambass has started to look into my logs and he also suspects lack of AC3 sound to be the source of error (and not a time stamp problem as it was before).

Yes, if you use MCE Remote you can press I think the blue button to change between 5.1 and normal audio (PCM?). Or via Info button and then select your audio track there.

This is how I use it. And it works during watching TV to toggle between the audio tracks.

OK, thanks. That's good to know. But then I guess you will have to test now and then if is 5.1 or stereo on the show that is currently on? Or is it some way of switching automatically as with the "Prefer AC3" feature?

In the "dhasselqvist" recordings, I confirm AC3 disappears during local news. PMT report the change of audio streams.

TvService do nothing on PMT change and continue to write the original faked PMT to recording ( or TsReader ).

Should this be considered as a bug or an enhancement request?

I can report that Ambass pin-pointed the problem and then Morpheus made a fix that I have confirmed to be working on my HTPC. big :D goes out to both developers.

This means that you now can use the option "Prefer AC3" to get automatic switching between 5.1 (AC3) and 2.0 (mpeg) and still be able to watch local news or any other show that changes PID dynamicaly (i.e. not only when you change channel). When this fix will make it to SVN I don't know.
