Switching TV channel losing sound (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I just installed MP1.0 and it's working pretty oke (allthough a lot of features not used, and defined).

First I would like the fundamentals right and to realizes this I've got some questions or help if possible....

When I switch from one channel to an other I lose sound!
To resolve this, I activate a radiostation and switch back to TV again. Then sound is back again.

Does somebody else noticed this?

Using AC3 filter, enable mpeg support, FFDShow Audio MP1\MP2 codec change to mp3lib or libavcodec depending on which version you have.

This also could be the fact that different audio streams are being transmitted and the graph does not rebuild on channel change (ie ac3 switching to mpeg1), going to Radio forces a graph rebuild (no video detected), at the moment this is how it works, but may need to be modified to take into account the audio changes.

Read your tips but I'm not that expert (yet) to execute your tips into the settings you're mentioning. Is it possible that ypu give me some hints where I should changes these settings?

AC3 settings\system tab, there should be a tickbox for enabling mpeg support.

FFDShow Audio config\codecs, MP1\MP2 can be seen here set to libmad, click on that to change to either mp3lib or libavcodec (prefered, available on only new version of FFDShow Tryouts).

Tried that, and rebooted after tried the 2 options. No luck.

More idea's or can I send some info?

O yeah, just found out that the first channel change works, but the second no sound

I use AC3 Filter also and have found that even staying on the same channel, a commercial will come on and I will lose my audio. All I do to fix it is either change channels and back again, or press mute then unmute (M key on keyboard - I have no remote control). Most of the time this fixes my problems.

I changed my Audio Codec to FFDShow Audio and never had the probelm again. The Only reason I changed back was that FFDShow caused me some more serious issues with the IPTV streams I get here in Australia. That is another story though.

Thanks!! This did the job for me.

PS. I noticed something else, when I change from one Radio station to the other it doesn't take over ride away but stotters comes back with the first station for a secodn or so and then is going over to the selected station. Does this sound familiar?

nevere used the internet radio section really. I only use Last.FM plugin and that works fine. No stutters at all.
