I've discovered that this issue is related to recordings.

If I don't record any TV-shows, the system won't go down..

If I have / or had some recordings the system may hang after a while.
Perhaps related to CAM.
Is the CAM-parts changed in 1.2Beta compared to 1.1.2?

Possibly, but CI handling is hardware specific and you're using MDAPI right?

I know support is limited when not using MDAPI..

We don't provide any support for MDAPI. If you can reproduce the problem without using MDAPI then I'd be happy to look at new logs. That is the team policy...

    Hello, just an update.
After I got the same error with unresponsive remote on my other HTPC (client, no tvserver), I now uninstalled MP 1.2B (third option "clean") and reinstalled MP 1.1.3.

    No problems!

    Everything works fine again.
To bad the GUI looks rather old now..

I'm sorry my error couldn't be traced in my logs, but It's clearly something that's related to MP 1.2B.

I set the thread status to not reproducible, since issue is likely caused by MDAPI.

How can MDAPI cause this problems, when my remote clients having issues with this. As far as I know th remot client only connects to the server using RTSP(wrong spelled?).

Anyway, I go with the Stabil 1.1.3 for now..

    Hi ROLA

I generally agree that the issue is not with MDAPI, but you have failed to provide logs with MDAPI disabled as requested - it is standard policy whether MDAPI is affecting the problem or not. Further, you failed to provide logs with extended remote logging enabled:

yes

no

yes

yes

no

no

200

2

0

yes

I also don't understand why you've enabled both MCE and Hauppauge remotes...

I see this quite often, and agree with ROLA's statement that it has to do with when recordings happen. It's not generally obvious that it's just happened, so it's quite hard to get good logs to show it. However, it just so happens that tonight I was stopping and starting MP a bunch to gather the info for another bug report. I started it one last time at 12:34 to actually watch something. At 12:35, one recording started, then another at 12:37, and at 12:38 I coincidentally happened to notice that the mouse and keyboard were not responding. Hoping that this tight window means it will be easy to track in the log. Unfortunately, not a debug log; if this doesn't help, I'll try to find time at some point to schedule a bunch of short recordings and run in debug mode to try to get something better.
