    Hi Metropolis,

The TV Server log showed that both tuners continued until shutdown.

I'm thinking out loud here, but it may be useful to try watching one channel, recording a second and then recording a third and fourth so we can see via the TV server log what the tuner is doing. From the previous log the tuner was tuning to two different channels. Also, make a brief mental note of what you did and time and post this with the TV Server log as this will identify what the tuner is doing.

I would try Ray's suggestion first, and maybe try another PCIe slot if you have one.

    Hi, a quick update:
I have moved the card to another PCI-E slot, plugged it into a power source (connector from the power supply, so a good source) and unfortunately I still have the same problem :(
My motherboard is an Asus P8Z68-V LX with the latest bios, currently in PCI-E slot 1 (PCI-E X1 slot).
Could it be my Quad LNB?

    Kind regards.

    Another update:
I reboot the PC, open up TV Server and goto 'Test Channels', set to 4 users and then 'Start Test'. This then activates all 4 tuners. I then stop the test, run MP and everything is working as it should, I can watch and record anything with no freezing.
So currently I have to activate the channels first before they all work correctly, as if once they all have power then they all work.
Could it be my motherboard, power supply, cable, LNB?
I have supplied logs on the first page, not sure if they reveal anything?

    Kind regards.

What power supply is fitted make\model\wattage\age ?

Even though these are on a pci-e card, pretty sure they are usb based tuners,so power settings need to not allow usb devices to sleep, and also might be wise to set a 20 or 30 second delay before TVServer tries to connect to the cards after resume.

Is there any motherboard software installed and running (not drivers).

Strange that once used, the cards are then fully available, really not sure what is going on there :(

Hi Ray, thanks for your input. When I get home tonight I might put the card into another PC, and older motherboard with different power supply, and see if it performs the same. I'll report back later.

    Cheers.

OK, just tried the card in an older PC, with different power supply, and it functioned exactly the same, same issue. :(
So I dont think it's the motherboard or power supply.
So it's either a problem with the TBS 6984 card, my cable, or the LNB.
Any suggestions as to what to try next?

    Regards.

    Just had a thought,

Go into your system power settings.

Click Change Plan settings (on the one you have selected). Click Change advanced power settings.

Expand PCI Express --> Link State Power Management --> Setting.

    Change this to Off.

Apply and reboot. Then try timeshifting and recording.
