Hmmm, I wonder if this is partially a display issue.
@doctor64
Are you testing from MP or TV Server configuration? MP is more likely to show text properly.
If I've understood the situation correctly, the log files currently can't show the text properly as they are not UTF-8.
Text garbaged in all places: log files, SetupTV, MP client. Funny note - same problem with garbaged text in TBS own CAM utility and even Samsung TV LE32A656

The question is now how can I determine which is the src encoding of the cam?!
According to DVB documentation http://www.dvb.org/technology/standards/R206-001.V1.pdf pages 24-26
first byte(s) of string code used character encoding. Please note what CAM can return UNICODE strings in UCS-2 encoding.

but for me also the old version worked, so @doctor64 please test the attached binaries :)
Later this evening - TV setup completely occupied by my childrens, watching Nickelodeon :)

    nice to hear that :) I will make a code cleanup and post new binaries than ;)
    @mm1352000
    Do you want to port it to TVE 3.5 or should I do it? I would also try to make you suggested changes to the Convert function so that it also accept byte arrays ;)
    You would still need to review the code, so the decision is up to you :p

    My best congratulations! Work without any problem.
    Sorry, I really don't know :/

    same problem with garbaged text in TBS own CAM utility
    If you make a screenshot for me I will report it to our contact on TBS ;)

    Hi after using the patch here I could be able to scan all the channels that I could not scan previously. Now I can watch all the channels in the satellites that I am using. However I have a weird problem. I have a TBS 6928 card and currently I do not use any CI. I use an option switch to combine a central system satellite dishes which includes 3 different satellites with a single dish that I own. When I switch from a channel on the single dish to any channel on one of the central system dishes I get a "no signal" error initially. After a few attempts I could be able to watch a channel on the central system. Once I watch a channel on the central system, I can change to any channel on the central system without problem and I can also change without problem to a channel on the single dish as well. I can also change within the channels on the single dish without problem. However once I am on a channel on the single dish and when I try to change back to a channel on the central system I get the "no signal" error for the first few attempts. In addition when I first start the MP I generally get "no signal" error for the first few attempts regardless of which channel I try to watch. Finally I should also note that I do not have this problem with DVB Dream. There I can watch any channel I want without problem.

    What do you think is the problem?

    Thanks.
