Hello.
Success, it works. I can't come up with a thing that is in any way different in behaviour compared to using CI with earlier single tuner cards. Except from that I for the first time have to use the numeric updown-control to limit the number of channels simultaneously decoded (it's a dual tuner card with dual CA modules). If the limit of channels simultaneously decoded is left on the default zero (unlimited), the card tries to use just one CA module for both tuners. But that hasn't anything to do with the new DLL from what I understand, more to the nature of the dual tuner/dual CI design. Me very happy, thanks for the great job you've done with the TBS/CI functinality the last...five years now?

Hi, ratata. Noticed you are from Sweden also. Are you running Boxer ci+ channels without issues with the TBS6590?

Hi tepahe.
You can't use the CA-modules that came with your Boxer service. Per default, they will deliver CA-modules to be used with CI+. You will have to return those and say your home system supports nothing but plain CA-modules that are made for standard CI-programcards. I'm not sure you will have to exchange the cards as well, they will probably work as intended in non-CI++ CA-modules, but still, I'm not sure, you'ld better ask and have those replaced too. But they will obey you, they will send you plain CA-modules with no hazzle.

I'm using it with DVB-C.

I've downloaded the CI Nuget dll which missing from MP installer and copied to the right place. At channel scan the whole tv-server service is always crashing at the same frequency. If I remove the CI DLL, the scan completes successfully. After that if I copy back the DLL, I can watch encrypted channels with the client, but in every minute or two, the stream/video freezes for a few seconds and then continues.

Anyone else has this issue? Is there any fix? The scan and crash issue affects DVBViewer too.

I'm using TVMosaic now, it works flawlessly, but I more like MP because it's completely free, and the timeshift is better, even in Kodi.

So, without CI (or the unworking 1.0.2.0) I can scan, but cannot decode.

With 1.0.2.3 I can play and decode, but the stream freezes every few minutes for a few seconds.

This must be a driver or incompatibility issue with the 5580. Other DVB Software (DVBViewer, DVBDream) was affected too. After some e-mailing with the TBS support, I got a discount for a 6590 and everything is perfect now.

I'm trying to understand if I can use this patch for Pay TV on a USB DVB-S2 tuner. There's two TBS USB tuners: 5580 Multi standard and 5990 QBOX dual satellite.

According to @fatal above, the 5580 doesn't seem to work well in any software.

According to Shadowmasterrr, the 5990 can at least find channels but I'm not sure that means that it can decode channels using a CAM? And here's a discussion by Muscats about the 5990 but it seems only theoretical. He didn't actually try it out I guess? So does anyone know if this card could work? I'm using Canal Digital Sweden by the way.

Unfortunately 5580 is a mess if you want to use with cam module, at least for dvb-c. Does USB a must have for you? PCIE cards works fine, I've got a discount from tbs and bought a 6590, works flawlessly.
