TBS CI Menu not working but works in MP1 (1 Viewer)

    I cannot get the CI menu to show up in Setup TV in TVE3.5. In TVE3 with the patch from TBS thread it works.

    I see two things, the first being that something in TVE3.5 is run in the wrong order and there's a encoding issue, compare these two lines:

    Actually [one of] the causes of this problem is that the reference to curMenu in CiMenuManager.OnCiMenu() is a private member rather than the class variable _curMenu. That function is meant to set the class variable for OnCiMenuChoice(). It doesn't do that => the log messages you see.

    The release you're running is older code. Encoding is fixed [for all hardware plugins] in the latest code in my branch... but thanks anyway for the report. :)

    Okay no problem, I'll just wait patiently :)

    Another thing not related to TVE3.5 but rather the CI menu itself, I've got the number 5 after som of the entries, it's visible from inside MP1 and you can se it in the logs above as well, sub-title = Main menu5, entry 3 = Tokens Status5 and so on. why is this? And can anything be done to fix it? Or is it a CI-module/SmartCard error?

    That is a bit odd. First impression is that it is the CAM or the TBS CI library. I can't see or think of anything in TVE that would do that.
    Can you check the CI menu in some other software (eg. the TBS MCE CI tool)?
    Maybe if your CAM supports different languages like mine you could try a different language and see if the same thing happens.

    Thanks for helping me out! It was indeed a CI-module thing, by changing language I figured out that the strings not localized will show up in English+index of the configured language or something.

    the Ci module menu

    or basically, can you watch encrypted channels with tbs card (and cam) in MP2

    For me it works fine with mediaportal 1.12 and the patch but not in MP2?
