TBS6281 only showing cable, not DVB-T/T2 (1 Viewer)

My previous TBS PCI-E card failed, so I bought another one. The model I chose is the TBS 6181-SE, which can be seen on Amazon here.

The card is supposed to cater for DVB-T2. However,as you can see from the following screenshot, only DVB-C tuner is shown.

I do not have cable. The driver is installed correctly, as the card appears in Device Manager as "TBS 6281Se Dual BDA Tuners"

If I can't get DVB-T2, I might have to return the card. Can anyone please advise?

I think that you have installed the wrong driver for this tuner card.

This page shows that there are different drivers for DVB-C and DVB-T/T2. Download the correct driver from the TBS web site and use it to update your system.

Actually I solved this myself. I did have the correct driver (it was the only one which would work). But on the drivers download page, there was an additional item called "TBS6281se V2 Change Mode Tool". There was zero documentation to accompany this. I downloaded it and ran it. It is a tool to detect the current run state of both tuners (in my case they were both set to DVB-C); with an option to set the firmware to a different run state. I was therefore able to set the firmware to DVB-T2. No new driver necessary: as I said there was only one driver.

I had to reboot the computer in order to get MediaPortal to finally see the DVB-T2 tuners.
