Hi there!
I have changed from WMC to MP1. I love it so far, but its a lot of work with it, but the result feels great.
I have one issue for the moment. In WMC my wife, with some hearing problem almost Always uses subtitles from Teletext. (Swedish television. Text-TV.) For channel SVT1 we start Teletext and enter page 199. Then subtitles in Swedish in shows that are i Swedish is shown.
The problem I experience is that the text is not "synced". The text is changed for some every third textline. It seams its not updated quick enough, so the service is not useful for her/us.
I read somewhere that Teletext is updated every 3rd second? That is proberly the cause(?).

My whole work with setting up, change to MP1 and introducing MP to my family is about crash...

So, is there a solution on this?
Im a noob to coding, but if someone can point out a codeline, Im ready... (perhaps)

Please help!

Im running MP1 1.12. Windows 7

    Hello and welcome :)

I read somewhere that Teletext is updated every 3rd second? That is proberly the cause(?).
I'm not aware of such a limitation.

Does the problem affect all channels in the same way, or only SVT1?
Does the problem affect all programs on SVT1?
Can you make a short recording showing the problem (upload to Mega, DropBox or whatever, and provide a link)?

    Regards,

Please answer my first 2 questions. :)

    [edit: About the recording...
You need to upload the original recording (.TS file), not a film of you viewing the channel/recording.
Please, no more than 100 MB.]

    Hi again,
The answer on your first 2 questions is: yes
I did a recording(.ts file), but the text does not appear on the recording, so I did a film.
But you maybe want that recording(incl xml) anyway?

    Thanks (y)

In the recording I find three teletext subtitles languages:
    • Swedish (page 799)
    • Danish (page 591)
    • Swedish - for hearing impaired (page 199)
It seems that only the "Swedish - for hearing impaired" subtitles are working.

I don't understand Swedish or Danish, but when I compare MP and VLC it seems like VLC displays more subtitles than MP.

Can you confirm that VLC is better?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your help...
We are using page 199. (for SVT 1)
Such a noob as I am, can you explain some about VLC(I dont know what this is?).
Where do I change the setting for this?

VLC is not an MP setting. It is a completely separate video player:
    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

After downloading and installing (free :) ), you can use it to test your recordings and confirm if the subtitles display better/properly.

In the meantime I have been doing more testing, and I think I found the problem. TV Server seems to be failing to detect the correct teletext page update speed. It seems to be using 15 seconds (!!!) instead of 1 second. This means that the subtitle display is only updated every 15 seconds.

I will continue to test/confirm, but please could you still try VLC.
