Oke, its not working even after setting up the loopback

Well if someone would like to see the logs, good luck finding something usefull :p

the first log is when i get the stream cannot be played error
the second log is when i get the service lost connection error

The reason i use MP is (ofcourse?) because of its possibility to use DVBC tuners in my country.. wich isnt possible with windows MCE..... so without a tv function MP is totally useless in my case

    Hi again ZeropaidNL

Vasilich is correct - we do not provide support for MDAPI.

Three things I would say to you before you think MP is totally useless to you:
    1. You have not set your codec preferences in the "codecs and renderer" section in MediaPortal configuration. It is a wonder anything works at all! You *must* configure those preferences if you want TV to work reliably.
    2. Use the loopback adaptor or a static IP address - make sure you have configured this correctly.
    3. Disable the iMon plugin.

If you can reproduce the problems without the use of MDAPI then we'd be happy to help.

    1. Codecs are selected, dont know how its even possible to select no codec prefferences. (they automatically are selected, though i changed to various codecs) (i dont know if im wrong here, im still a bit noob with MP)
    2. even without the WLAN connected (adapter disabled) i get the lost connection to the tv service
    3. i will give it a try, dont think that it will solve it

I use the mdapi plugin because i use a softcam, not for anything else.

I isolated the problem and all the random errors are related to the tv service.

According to your previous logs when you complained about the "stream cannot be played" error this was not the case:

You've selected video codecs, but you haven't selected TV codecs. They are selected on a separate tab - the "TV" tab.

    2. even without the WLAN connected (adapter disabled) i get the lost connection to the tv service
So did you change configuration so that the loopback adapter was used with a static IP address?

    3. i will give it a try, dont think that it will solve it
That plugin is putting a *lot* of entries into your logs. Even if it appears to make no difference, it would make the logs easier to read.

I use the mdapi plugin because i use a softcam, not for anything else.
Obviously - that is the purpose of it. That is what everyone uses it for. The problem is that some people use it without paying for a subscription. Our policy on MDAPI is -->here<--.

I isolated the problem and all the random errors are related to the tv service.
Provide logs again please and explain what you did. Note: you would have to unregister MDAPI so that it is not inserted into the TV Server side graph, otherwise it can still have an effect.

I think its better to start over again: after a fresh install everything works like it should, thats why im still trying to figure out what the problem is.. but after i reboot the system it wil come up with various errors.

The most common error i get is the tv service connection lost.
When its not displaying any errors and i watch an HD channel i get poor performance.

Again al these errors and issues are after i reboot the system, and everytime the process repeats itself

new install = working perfectly > reboot system = errors > at this point MP is very unstable and the only thing to get it working again is a new install > reboot again = errors.. this is the process of how it acts on my system.

so the only way to keep it stable would be not shutting the system down, ofcourse this is not a solution.

I installed the loopback device and in MP the tv server is pointing to the loopback device. wich is using a fixed adres
I attached an image of the codecs im using, tried several codecs (again reinstall with standard codecs works without a problem)

I will try windows xp professional wich would be my last try

    Hi again

I think its better to start over again...
Sure, whatever is more convenient for you. We would like to help, but we can't unless you can show the problem occurring without MDAPI. If you choose not to provide those logs then that is your choice...

I will try xp first, as i suspect win7 of being the troublemaker.. ()

(I will post a log later, without any plugins enabled)
