What does thread safe mean in combination with the tv service? And what alternative do I have now to get EPG data for all channels but those I am watching, since no idle grabbing is active I am running out on epg data on same channels.

On SVN it was svn/public/branches/TVEngine3-CardReservation.
Gibman can explain more than me, but i have create a Git Branch based on this and my other rework + BD Branch.
For sure this version of TVEngine3 looks really stable.

gibman: I'm not convinced that the TsWriter deadlocks would be fixed by your threadsafe changes but I'd be very happy to be proved wrong )). Certainly they will fix the tuner contention issues...

it's def. worth a shot as with the threadsafe patch there can only be one thread accessing the tuner.
this doesn't mean that tswriter can't have threading issues either, but they could now be well hidden by this patch.

only way to see this is to test it

ofc. it would be best to have the issue fixed in tswriter if this is where u see the issue.
