Ok, will try that.

Unistalled everything, installed Mediaportal whent to scan, pressed scan channel.
Computer frooze compleatly, even mouse / keyboard.

Booted up again without S660, enabled the Tevii Pci S420
Restarted tvservice, and tried to scan channels on the S420.
No problem at all.

Could you have a faulty TV receiver, also is the usb connection version 2 that it is plugged into, don't think it would work with usb 1.1

As you have given so little hardware details, really hard to pinpoint problem.

Yes, I'm sorry for that.

The server is equiped with:
Motherboard is an Asus P5b-v with an Core2Duo and 4GB Ram. All usb is 2.0.
The reciver was working on my win7 testrig a couple of days ago. Will connect it and se if it still works there.

Don't really know what more in hardware/software you need?

I have confirmed that the S660 tuner works fine on my windows 7 machine.

Please do, because it is not clear to me anymore what is left of the original posts.

If i am right everything works on W7 but not on the WHS OS. In that case this should be labeled "no bug".

Changed the topic, hope it more reflects the issue.

Would still like to get it working, so if someone could give me some pointers on how to debug the issue i would appreciate it.
If you on the other hand tell me to "change os or get lost" i would understand that too

Really does sound like the drivers are looking for some dependancy that is not provided by WHS at all.

checked that thread but there was just the dvbfix and that is applied already.

Installed another WHS with MP and the S660. Channel scan working fine, no lockups or hanging.
Will try and remove all usb-controllers and reinstall them on main server.

Tried the card back in the main WHS. Still no luck.
One thing i noticed is that error.log says the following:

2010-03-02 18:11:09.796875 [(8)]: dvb: Failed to add bda receiver: TeVii DVB-S/S2 Receiver. Is it in use?

With my S420 it only says it 2 times.


Attached the tv.log during a channel scan and then a closing of the tvsetup. Seems like it is not able to close the card when ending tvsetup.
