    I have a functional system again and now after first disabling and later replacing Microsot Security Essential with AVG the tuning times are as before the "disaster" happened.
    Tuning times with MSE on was about 1200-1400 msec with my hauppauge and average was back to 800msec after disabling MSE. Found it by coincidence in another thread in this forum.

    I can do the test this week with the different drivers. What log do you need? I guess it is only a log were you can see the tuning times?
    I hope MDAPI has nothing to do with the part were the channel is first tuned I mean before the decryption part, but I can´t see why it should interfere with that part.
    Also the Tevii S660 have about the double tuning time as my hauppauge card and I will replace the Tevii if it can´t be improved much.

    I have just returned to home this evening and finished the setup. Only thing left tomorrow is using Norton Ghost 15 just to make sure I can revert quickly to this setup. After that I can help test the different Tevii drivers.

    Hi again

    The two problems that you mentioned were:
    1. Tuning times ==> solved - MSE problem (???).
    2. Tuning failures.

    If this is the case, you have to prove that the most recent driver is more unreliable than the older driver with the same hardware setup, software setup, and channels.

    I can do the test this week with the different drivers. What log do you need? I guess it is only a log were you can see the tuning times?
    It is not what I need - it is what TeVii need. At a guess, I would say that you need to run tuning tests on the same set of channels with each driver over a long time (at least 1000 tunes).

    I hope MDAPI has nothing to do with the part were the channel is first tuned I mean before the decryption part, but I can´t see why it should interfere with that part.
    It may not interfere with the signal reception, however all depends on the type of tuning failure as to whether it could have any effect. We don't provide any support for it and I recommend that you disable it in your testing.

    Also the Tevii S660 have about the double tuning time as my hauppauge card and I will replace the Tevii if it can´t be improved much.
    There is nothing we can do about this. As I've already said, the most time consuming part of the tuning process in the logs you previously provided seems to be the TeVii custom tuning function.
