Have not a clue, but BZHider is most probably the most used tool to overcome this, it just moves the cursor offscreen.

Regards

Yes BZHider works well enough, the down side is that when web browsing I have to keep sliding the mouse down onto the page area which is a pain.

check to see if mouse autohides when using MPC-HC fullscreen video, while tvserver is running and mediaportal isn't running.
if it does autohide then problem lies within mediaportal
if it doesn't autohide then start killing processes until it does autohide, this will tell you what process is causing the problem

NB - if your battery is getting flat that can also make the mouse reappear sometimes.

Not sure about autohidemouse option being removed or not, but it still is in 'MediaPortal.xml'. Setting this to yes reliably hides my mouse cursor after a matter of seconds.

On my german WinXP, this files resides under the following path:
    C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.xml
'Anwendungsdaten' should be something like 'Applicationdata' on an english system.

Back up this file before editing. Search for 'autohidemouse' and simply change 'no' to 'yes'. It helped in my case. It's worth a try before re-installing MP...

    Hope this helps,
    Uwe

Cool, that worked for me as well. Why did they remove the autohidemouse option anyway? Somehow, something is changing the value to 'no'

Thank you so much,i didn't even realize this was a problem as mine has always been on the screen and i just kept moving it to the side.It was a pain as you would go sit down to enjoy you movie and have to get up again. The xml edit has fixed the mouse on screen now so once again thanks heaps.
