I also like a bit contrast, but not that much. 8)

But almost all other things are great, and as I can´t do anything of the things you do with gfx, I´m glad to get your skins "as is" and enjoy them very much tough I´m not a fan of such big contrasts.

By the way, my wife also likes all of your skins and derivates (butchers one). :wink:

A quick look at the new buttons. I will try to get a new version available for download this weekend. I have some more things I want to correct first. Let me know what you think about the buttons.

I have to agree. I like it in your MCE skin (because of the design it "flatters"), but perhaps as a new and different skin you should drop the my.

I think this skin will become the default for MediaPortal and will probably stay that way for quite a while. As MediaPortal becomes more and more mainstream this year, this is the look that people will always associate with Mediaportal. If they want the MCE skin, with its look and feel, its always there.

IMHO this skin could be called "MediaPortal" because it will quickly be recognised as the default. For this one I think you should strive to have our own look and feel.

Well Samsonite, I can't help being astonished by your work. And now that I've shown how polite I can be, let's get rude :-D
Here are my suggestions:
1 - I'd like the buttons to have a more evident 3dimensional look;
2 - more contrast between the background of the unpressed buttons and the rest of the screen;
3 - try to keep the same colors, the same logic, the same complessive look for all the icons of each submenu. I mean, the icon in the video menu seems to me a little "retro", while the others seem contemporary or futuristic and there ain't always a "family feeling" in the icons as a whole;
4 - (this is just a personal taste) i'd prefer more rounded corners in the "up arrow";
5 - back buttons everywhere ;-) ;
6 - I don't like the division of the main menu in three zones throug straight lines... I'd prefer wavy lines, maybe moving slowly...
It's all I can think of right now. Huh, maybe it's too much after all ;-) .
