This is weird, the channel that I watch most often, TV3 HD (1080i) suddenly no longer works in Media Portal. When I tune this channel MediaPortal freezes until I press stop. It may seem like a codec problem, but I'm not that sure for a few reasons that I'll explain. Oh, I've checked if the channel has changed frequencies or anything in the DVB-T data, but not.
I record the news on this channel every day, so I can watch them a bit later when I come home. The recording from April 12th plays just fine. But the recordings from the 13th and later no longer work, I can't play them. They are there, the files at least are the same size, but they won't play, MediaPortal freezes when playing them until I press stop (same as with Live TV). It doesn't actually crash it seems to sit there indefinitely doing nothing. CoreAVC is enabled since I see the icon on the taskbar while MediaPortal is freezed.
Also if I tune another HD channel and then TV3 HD it works! But if I turn on the TV to this channel right away, it will freeze.
Just in case I've upgraded CoreAVC 2.6.3 to the latest 3.0.1 (I had to purchase the new version, of course). CoreAVC has always worked very well so even if the new version didn't fix this problem I don't regret the purchase.
I've also tried other h.264 codes as in the Wiki: MediaPlayer Classic, DivX and ffdshow. All of them fail to decode TV3 HD right away (only after watching some other HD channel before). After uninstalling every codec and doing a system restore to leave everything back at the original state I'm back to square one.
The log's don't seem very useful, I just see that I tune TV3 HD, the graph is created and nothing else until I press stop. But I can post them if they can be useful.
BTW, I just upgraded to Media Portal 1.2.3, I was using 1.2.2 and wasn't aware that 1.2.3 was available.
Any clue that helps me to fix this will be greatly appreciated. WAF is at floor level right now
