Sorry

I have the same problem, I also attached the log files. I already bought a new card but it doesn't seem to work. I specifically went for the Hauppauge because that was previously well supported... Hope you guys can figure this one out!

Hi,
I'm a perfect MP-Newbie and just started with my HTPC. MP is great software!
I have the same symptoms with my analog Hauppauge WinTV PCI FM. It's and old 878 card, but it's listed as supported, as I know so far.
It appears in the tv server list of tv-adapters, but after scan no channels are detected. Odd enough, afterwards the tv-server-configuration-prog only closes by "closing" - "OK", "Cancel" or changing windows won't work.
I tried quite a lot. With tv2000 the card generally is working, channels are detected. The problem appears in MP with and without my other tv-"card", a DVBT-Nova Stick.
I installed the DVB-Fix. I followed the Configuration/Installation advice here. (The up-to-date version of this patch from hauppauge isn't accepted, you have to use the one linked in the MP-page). And I installed Intervideo DVR3.
So, does anybody know of a WinTV PCI FM running with MP RC2? Is there something I could do?
Would be great to get a hint...
Thanx a lot,
Steriel

My system is shown on the left, pls look in my logs:

I have a Leadtek Winfast HDTV, and here is my observation.

With the ArcSoft TotalMedia (bundled with the card) codecs, TV Server can scan and successfully display all the Digital channels. Analog scan shows none. If I manually add an analog channel, it errors out with "no audio compressor found". The graph in the digital case is using ArcSoft codecs.

After installing WinDVR3, the analog channels now scan correctly and even preview fine. The Digital channel now had a problem with no audio. The graph is using the InterVideo Codecs. If I replace the audio codec with the ArcSoft Audio Decoder, I can get sound to function correctly.

Unfortunately, the ArcSoft codec does not work correctly with the Analog channels, the sound comes out like someone has inhaled helium (possibly some sampling/frequency mismatch).

Can someone with more insight help with this?
