I do have two clients with RC2 and just installed RC4 (not the best idea, lot's of problems). I noticed when one client is switching to the same channel as the other I'm getting the error "timeshift stopped by another user". This is not the right behaviour as it should open another timehisft and not stopping one of the other client. What's wrong and how can I prevent this ?

Thanks
Rob

First, all clients and server should be using exactly the same version. After thats done lets see if the bug still occurs :).

Also make sure that all channels are mapped to all DVB cards.

    Solved !

You can use RC2, 3 and 4 on any clients without problems. My problem was that I did not use the same directory for the timeshift buffer of the cards. I have corrected this and it works perfectly.

Should not be generialized if it works somewhere :) There are known differences between those so other users might face some issues if they take a word from such statement.

I have the same problem .. but I am using the same directory for all cards... so that couldn't be the fix for that .. all clients are RC3 no SVN

any other ideas?? would be great..

    regards robertino
