    Timeshift is on:
    1. enter MyTV
    2. TV Channel is displayed i.e. Sat1, timeshift is working
    3. switch channel to i.e. Pro 7 -> TV Channel is displayed, timeshift is working
    4. switch channel i.e. RTL -> TV black, no audio
    5. switch channel to i.e. Pro 7 -> TV Channel is displayed, timeshift is working
    6. switch channel i.e. RTL -> TV Channel is displayed, timeshift is working

This is happening randomly, everytime an other TV Channel that is blank when switching to it. no realtion to swiching from/to Chanel with AC3.

With Timeshift off this is NOT happening!

Yes, I can confirm this same problem with the CVS of March 9 - here is a section of my MediaPortal.log file:-

I have highlighted in red where the sound and video cease - it looks like MediaPortal hangs while trying to open the Video database?

Notice in the first lines of the MP.log file (where the video and sound worked) that the next line after
    "10/03/2006 7:38:42 PM VMR9Helper: playing->repaint"
is the opening of the video database.....

I started TV viewing then enabled timeshifting. MyTV went to a black screen. When I stopped timeshifting, the picture came back. Here is my mp log:

    Using Dev Snapshot 11-03-2006-12-22

    Timeshifting still stops MyTV playback.

    http://mp.pastebin.com/596104

The log in pastebin starts when I enabled Timeshifting. MyTV was working fine up until that point.

I have been testing this out myself. I am currently running 2.15.06 and it is not having the problem With this old version, when you do anything with the time shifting it basially stops and starts the tv. In the newer version, it does not seem to be doing this. On the newer versions I can come into my tv with just the TV on and it works. I can click on TS and it still works. When I disable TS it breaks.. but if I turn off and on the TV it works without TS.

Maybe I'm just fooled by number of issues leading to same behaviour but it occurs with single SS2 usage here!

Exactly I get 2 different black screen issues:
1 - randomly but most often when switching ac3 "no reception" pops up
    2 - what you described

In both cases: If I hit the "green button" to get back to main menu and then "stop" even the gui disappears - just a thin line at the top stays visible (using razor skin atm). After the screen turned black I can navigate through the topbar to exit MP..

    Synopsis::
    Hi everybody,
I have such a bug, but not ramdomly at all.
I made many tests and here is what they gave, I wish this could help.
( Sorry if my english's not perfect, i'm a french user)

    My issue :

    * Two of my channels have Black screen/mute when timeshifting enabled.

    My tests results :

    * The chanels with this issue have mpg2 audio, and are the only ones of my channels list with this type of audio.

    * Both the channels can be recorded although tey are not rendered
The records can be viewed perfectly.

    * These channels are perfectly rendered when timeshifting disabled.

    * The issue is still there if i remove any of my 2 dvb-t cards...

    * Tried different audio/video renderers combinations

    * This issue ( for my config ) came with cvs-02-27-2006--01-04 and is not present in cvs-02-26-2006--17-17.
This is the changelog between the two cvs's :
26/02/2006 [17:25:11] _Frodo_ MyTV: fixed stuttering tv when epg grabbing on 2nd card failed while 1st card was viewing
26/02/2006 [17:34:14] SteveV2 MyMusic: Add option to disable music overlay cover flipping (ignored when using external player). Set using Configuration.exe Music General Settings
26/02/2006 [17:34:35] SteveV2 Configuration: Add new Music settings page; Music Miscellaneous.
26/02/2006 [17:34:48] SteveV2 MyMusic: Add "Jump to window on Play Now" options; Now playing, Playlist, None. Set using Configuration.exe Music-->Miscellaneous.
26/02/2006 [18:41:17] _Frodo_ MyTv: added errorhandling to mpsa.ax
26/02/2006 [19:53:07] mosquiss Configuration: Autotuning analog tv grabs channel name from teletext if available
26/02/2006 [20:04:11] draktheas TVCapture - Fixed a problem with LOF frequency in TTPremium tuning.

I guess ( but i'm not pro, so i can be fully wrong ) that the issue has to do with the MPStreamAnalyzer (since error handling was added) and mpg2 audio .

I hope this will help a bit.
I really love MP, and my htpc just need this bug to be fixed to take its place in the living room ;) .
Greetings for the MP developpers great job.
