I have an issue where if I am watching a tv program, and decide to use the timeshift buffer, when I fast forward or rewind, I dont get a 'preview' of what is on the screen, rather the screen freezes and the progress bar moves, but I have to guess where the ads end and the show starts again. During playback of videos I have stored on the computer, this doesnt happen and I can see what I am fast forwarding.
Is this a common issue, is it easy to fix? Perhaps it has something to do with the mpeg codec I am using? I have tried nvidia purevideo, mpv, and ffdshow. My timeshift is currently set to .ts format.
Any help would be much appreciated, it is rather frustrating.
