Just skin settings, all of them.

I'm really confuzed.. Only things you can change in the skin (default view with 2 pages of 6 buttons) are the settings in the screenshot bellow. How difficult is it to change them back to your needs? :s

I guess @4Fred has changed the basic home screen to his likings and these settings are gone ...

Thanks heaps for the update. Shame that some people just whinge and moan where's our update, where's our update, and then when it's released, whinge where's this feature or boohoo, it's so hard to change a few settings back to what they were.

I had all my skin settings wiped and I simply asked two valid questions, is there a backup or can I copy from other computer?
And for that you tag me as a "piss and moaner"?

All skin settings where lost, all and everything.
I had used the basic home editor to make lots of changes, all those are gone.
And even epg program coloring - every setting you possible could make is set to default and any and all changes I made are lost.

So you where using Titan extended view allready some time including the basichome editor? That's the risk of using something that is in Beta. This is the first official release of Titan extended incl the basichome editor.

You can piss on me, but you just used something that was not ready all that time.. Just be more specific with reporting bugs. Now it takes 10 posts before we know what you mean! That can be better..

Yes I know it's beta, I was really only asking IF there was a backup/export or something to simply restore my settings.
So next update settings will be preserved?

But I do think I have a valid point. When updates are so easily available that you just hit update on the remote you should manage settings or really really notify the user that all settings will revert to defaults. So please take that as constructive criticism for the next update

Making a backup of the whole directory and restoring it, wont that revert the whole update? I want to keep up with new version to get new functions but at the same time retain settings for stuff that isn't updated. So how to do that if you guys don't include that functionality in updates?

Is it not possible to just copy the skinsettings file you have in the non-updated machine to a safe place, update, then copy it back?

Hi,

the menu entries are stored in c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Titan.xml. You can use the file from your other system and overwrite it.

This file won`t be overwritten in a future update. It was only for the first release.

Yesterday I installed Titan extended and found that all the buttons are blank.
In Basic Menu Editor there are no entries.
I'm sure that i can manually insert all the entries, but that is tedious.
Where can I get the default entries? Why are they gone?
