    Gary,

I didn't have the time yet to give you an answer to your recommendations :)

In the meantime here is something else: the TVSeries banner view is missing a frame background; the legibility is reduced - see screenshot.

    HTPC_Sourcer,

That error implies your system is missing one of the default image files. Couple of possible reasons....
    1) Did you install Titan Extended when you installed MePo rather than just Titan. Titan Extended is the add on for the default skin that includes the image and XML files for things like MP TV-Series. If not this would explain why the image would be missing, but you should be seeing quite a few errors in anything other than core functions if this is the case. You could try installing Titan Extended if you have no already, this should clear up the problem.

    2) Even if you have already installed Titan Extended, you could try clearing the image cache, whenever you install an update to a skin it is a good idea to do this. It will cause MePo to take a couple of mins to start the next time you run it as it will rebuild it's skin cache but this will make MePo reload all the skin images (not fanart, Clear Art etc, just the actual skin images.

This is worth a try, whenever I make changes to one of the themes I tend to do this otherwise you get either old images, or MePo has to load a lot of images dynamically which can slow it down.

To clear the cache, close MePo, fo to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache and delete the Titan directory. Then reload MePo and you will see it spends a minute or two on the 'caching graphics' step as it pulls in fresh copies of all images and makes up packed image files to load into your graphics card.

If neither of these works, can you check you have C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Titan\Media\panel_tvseries_widebanner.6x2.png This is the backdrop installed by titan extended for the 6x2 banner view in MP TV-Series. If that is missing I'm not sure why, it should come with Titan extended, but I can give you a copy if needs be.[DOUBLEPOST=1389544596][/DOUBLEPOST]
Hi, I use my emulator rather than Steam, if I wanted to edit the tile how would I do that??

Even better would be to add a sub menu with MyEmulator and Mpsteam :)

    TheBatfink,

Pulse8 only loads the MPSteam button is your have MPSteam installed, so while you could change the 'hyperlink' in the button to whatever code launches MyEmulator, the home menu files would also need changing to cause the button to load is the MyEmulator plugin is installed. I would be a fair bit of hacking around, but could be done.

Unfortunately I am really busy at work with annual appraisals till the end of January, so have little time to spare, but I could look at it in a couple of weeks if you like. Is MyEmulator a plugin or is it an external programme like Hyperspin loaded with the MultiShortcut plugin?

Hi Gary, thanks for the reply. Myemulator is a plugin. It imports games and scraps fan art and is capable of launching them (PC games as well as Emulators - its pretty nice). If its a big job then don't worry about it. It would be nice for me but I wouldn't want to take up your time for just me.

I do have another issue I thought I'd mention. I enabled animated backdrops but later decided I preferred them static. When I disable it the backdrops do turn to static but later after a restart the setting is enabled again and the backdrops are animated. I'm not at home right now but can grab some logs if they will help?

Thanks! Loving the skin so far :)

    Hi Gary,

    Thanks for the reply!

    1) Did you install Titan Extended when you installed MePo rather than just Titan. [..] You could try installing Titan Extended if you have no already, this should clear up the problem.
I even uninstalled Titan Extended completely, then reinstalled --> no change.

    2) [..] you could try clearing the image cache,
I always delete the cache contents after any work that I do on skins etc. --> no change

If neither of these works, can you check you have C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Titan\Media\panel_tvseries_widebanner.6x2.png
Aha! This one is missing - despite the reinstall of Titan Extended that I did. Could you maybe just zip all panel_tvseries*.png together and upload them as there might be others that I am missing?

Just updated to 2.0 and seem to get a weird bit of overlapping in moving pictures as per the attached screengrab.

I'm running MP 1.6 and cleared the skin cache.

Same here. Are you using Titan Extended? It looks as if some skin support files were not updated when loading the latest Extended release.

I have added ClearArt and Logos to Moving Pictures lite detail view. Here you have the xml if anyone is interested. Just place in the folder of your theme.20-25-03_.jpg 20-25-31_.jpg

    Gary,
I am confused. There is no such file in Titan. I checked the GIT and ncoh doesn't include any panel_tvseries files. (n)

Interesting, it must be a part of the skin files installed by MP TV-Series itself. I could have sworn that was a Titan Extended file though as I did not think the 6x2 view was a default layout for MP TV-Series. I've attached it below, but it is not one of my files, it was in my Titan\Media folder. I plan to set-up a new machine with MePo 1.6 in a couple of weeks time I will look into where this file gets installed (or in deed if it has been removed from Titan / MP TV Series now). In the mean time I hope putting this file in your Pulse8 theme directory will fix the problem.[DOUBLEPOST=1389815774][/DOUBLEPOST]

It looks like there must have been an update to moving pictures views in Titan extended with MePo 1.6 For now if you delete the movingpictures.views.xml file from your Pulse8 directory it will revert to using the default one from Titan (which I assume does not have this problem). For Pulse 8 Aqua this will look fine but will have no clear art. For Pulse 8 Cherry you will probably find some of the text is blue but the back panel will remain red.

Once I get 1.6 installed I will update the new version of the View files and push those out in an update.

I think it should be one since skin support is supposed to come with Titan Extended, hence TV Series should not install any Titan skin files. It is definitely missing, maybe a bug when setting up the package.

I take it anyway:D After having now put the file in Titan/Media the display looks the way it should.(y)

    Thanks,
