You will have to wait 2 or 3 days ;-) For instance, everything work like I want exept that when I play music, buttons don't work... I also made new buttons with photoshop, I need to make now status icons. The plugin detect if there is 1 or 2 screens, there is surely a solution to answer to the 2 choices in the same plugin. I also see the part of the sowftare call when the computer out of sleeping, another thing to correct...later.

I am very glad someone has sparked an interest in this plugin and am Thankful to you "technick" for this, we will definitely have to try this on our 15 inch EVO touchscreen and see how it does.

My interests with this plugin at the time are to be able to control MP from the 15 inch touchscreen, reason is that it takes less power to run than my 65 inch TV. So the use of this as a remote is mostly what someone in my case would need.

On the second note, i see the use as with your Zalman, Silverstone, or Thermaltake - HTPC cases with the imon displays built in to want to use the plugin in either way, using it to just the information of the song or media being played or as a remote for the media center, I do know however that with those imon displays that the touchscreen is hard to use and most the time people resort to using it as information display only, having it time out when a movie is played.

So i see use for this in both ways and if your time permits when possible, I would hope you would make the fixs for it so that it could be used by people wanting it in either way of use.

Thanks again for you time with this plugin.

    Hi guys!

I'm two clicks from ordering the Nanovision MIMO UM-740 (see this link) to work as my secondary monitor.

The device is a 7" touchscreen powered and run via USB. Now...will this plugin run this device? Drivers are included and Windows desktop can be extended and used as any normal display.

My hope is to let the wife and kids avoid turning on my 350W 42" plasma just to listen to a CD...

If I get it up and running, is it possible to edit the graphics or are they embedded in the DLL? I would really like to make it closer to my own skin.

Perhaps it is possible to point to another image path in the plugin to let the user choose buttons, background etc.

Just keep on the good work, thanks goes out to technick and of course cybrmage.

Just wanted to share a little expirience with this plugin.

Regarding the above, a lot of the graphics - though not all - can be changed in a skin file that are created by the plugin and which can be edited after creation. Though I don't remeber the folder where the file is located. I think it is the folder with all user-files.

Another thing is that if this plugin is used on the secondary monitor it has the problem that windows automaticly changes the secondary monitor to the primary monitor when the primary monitor is turned off. In my setup I have fixed this by ussing a dvi-detectiv - a small hardware box attached between the htpc and the main monitor, which makes the htpc think that the monitor is always on.

Just my two cents - hope this might be helpful.

Finally I'd like to say that I think its great that someone has taken up the challange and tries to do some further work on this plugin.

Istead of a USB one where you have to install the drivers for the touch screen I would check out something like this

    Hi,

this is actually my first post after reading and playing with media portal for a while now.
I use a simple set up. Mac Mini (last edition only one dvi) with Bootcamp/XP and 2 external drives (500GB+750GB) in Mac Mini Look. Attached it to a Logitech Z 5450 and a TFT TV. I received the above mentioned Mimo 740 today and installed the original Touchscreen Plugin first and got 100% CPU. Then installed the SLURM Modified DLL from here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/331740-post148.html and it works now.
I now switched to Clone Mode and tried it...it works great. Webcam and mic do the rest...amazing.

The Mimo 740 is great because it has a USB connector (only have one DVI), comes with cam and mic, has a high resolution, is very bright and is a touchscreen. AND it is relatively cheap. Will try your new versions of the plugin later.

    Best Regards
    Daniel

Yes the 740 has webcam, microphone and speakers.

Then I guess it's worth the price.

Hey technick when are you going to post the new plugin updated one?
