Question about the Trailers button. You say it launches Online Videos and plays the trailer automatically? Well it doesnt for me. I have the latest build of everything installed and when I hit Trailer in Moving Pictures it just launches Online Videos plugin. I checked Online Videos config and cant see anything about IMBD in that, (unless im missing something obvious).
How can I get it to function as you describe? maybe this is a question for Online Videos forum but then the button is on Moving Picturtes so should be some way to enable it?

Re: Moving Pictures Build for MediaPortal 1.2 Beta?

I suspect you will need to add IMBD to your list of Online Videos sites.

Yes I have added IMDB to my Online Videos site list but Moving Pictures Trailers button still doesnt do anything other than open Online Videos. Is there some instruction somewhere how to set up this functionality?

Sorted it out and now works fine. Had a search of the forums and finally worked it out.

    Thanks anyway

Could you post your solution GavinC? That way if other people come here with the same problem they might benefit from the time you put in to get things working.

Verify that the OnlineVideos plugin is present and enabled inside the MediaPortal config section for plugins. Then also open OnlineVideos properties and make sure IMDb Trailers is enabled. If not then add it from the global list.

Then everything should work, as the skin will show the button if the plugin is present and pushing the button to load the actual trailer direct will work if the IMDb Trailer stuff is configured inside OnlineVideos. If it's not you get the main OnlineVideos menu, so that is easy to verify.

If all still fails, then you are using old v1.1.x skin files and you need to delete all your movingpictures*****.xml files from your DefaultWide folder. Then you reinstall the latest v1.2.x MovingPictures plugin and make sure to enable the skin checkboxes. Then you should be all good to go.

But if all that still fails, then it is time to show some debug-enabled log files.

moviebuff, before deleting anything from DefaultWide directory please ensure your using that skin to test this functionality. The skin you are using might not have added this functionality.

AW: Re: AW: Trailers Button in GUI?

thanks a lot for your help. RoChess! :D
    ltfearme, you were right!
i have an oldschool TV and was therefore using the "Default" skin (4:3).
apparently, the TRAILER feature is only working for the "DefaultWide" skin!

I have switched to "DefaultWid"e and now it works like a charm, what a neat feature!
but I dont really understand, why it is not working or not enabled in 4:3 "Default" skin!?
    can someone explain?

btw: now I have noticed another bug: movingpictures does not remember, if I change "view". it always switches back to its default one... any ideas on that too?

    thanks again!! :D
