there is no reason why anyone can't write an external app that scans the database, grabs a trailer, then saves it to the same directory as the movie file. if it was that simple then we would alreay have an external app that does this.

Is it not likely that nobody is writing these kinds of app because there is no way to show the trailers in Moving Pictures.
