I recently upgraded to a Silverstone LC-11M because of the VFD and the integrated IR receiver. The display works ok, but the remote makes trouble. It didn't work right away, so when I started iMedian to check the basic functionality I got an error message that the iMON receiver is not connected. This is strange since the display works fine, so it should be connected ...?!

Any help?

Thanks,

Does the iMON remote show up in Device Manager? Look under Universal Serial Bus controllers, there should be an entry for SG Remote Control device.

Is the iMON software installed and running, and configured?

Hi nmw

I would say "yes" to all of your questions.

Maybe you can explain a bit what exactly you mean with "Is the iMON software installed and running, and configured?". The display is working with MP, and I can use the iMON SW to display all PC status etc., so I assume that works fine.

the VFD and remote are two seperate devices... so just because the VFD is working doesn't mean the remote will necessarily work.

Could this be the same issue as this one? Probably not since your write that you are using MP 2.0.0.4. Otherwise try SVN revision 10964.

ok.... but the VFD and the IR receiver are one device? If not, how can I activate the IR receiver?

What can I do to narrow down the error?

they may be the "one" device but they are 2 seperate entities.

get the remote working in windows first of all, you should be able to get it to control windows functions (volume up/down etc)

once you have it doing that.. then getting it going in MP should be ok, assuming of course that you have setup the program profile for MP in the IMON software.

i believe the issue you have is not with MP at all, but with the remote setup in windows.

Exactly, the remote doesn't work at all, that's why I checked in iMEDIAN. Please see the screenshot in my earlier post. It says that my IR receiver is not connected.

Any ideas how to find the error?
