Trouble with viewing .TS files and live TV (1 Viewer)

I've finally bitten the bullet and installed TV Server and all that goes with it on my spare hard drive (dual boot to keep my original MP available)

I find cannot view live TV nor can I view the programs I have just recorded. I can play the programs I recorded previously in MP through My Videos.

Everything else seems to be working ok. The TV Server shows that the tuners are busy or recording. The recorded file is saved. I cannot see why I am unable to view the programs. I am guessing that there is something I have forgotten to do in the settup that is needed to view .TS files.

Can anyone help. Log files attached.

Hi, again.

Yes. Infact I have been doing a bit more research. I changed the file output to MPEG and the same thing is happening. When I click in "TV ON" the screen flashes a bit but no picture. The "TV Streams " shows the channel streaming. I can then click in Record Now to set the TV Server to record. After the recording has finished a file has been produiced that can be viewed using AN EXTERNAL player, but in Mediaportal the screen just flashes/stutters a bit.

Does this give any clues to what is happening?

I know it's showing a error in logs as in something has not registered, which svn are you using as i'm on 18557 with the new installer and 18557 for TVServer.

This is from chefkoch about possible problems etc.

BTW, it's recommend always to use a clean 0.2.3.0 installation, with the old installer, even if updating on top worked sometimes. Same for the new one, if you have problems, pls, try with a clean 0.2.3 -> svn, if this all works you can copy your settings back.

You may be one of the ones where this applies to, so copy your mediaportal directory somewhere safe where you can restore database, thumbs, plugins and skins folders back afterwards as most things are in those folders.

Uninstall Mediaportal making sure remove user settings is ticked, there should be nothing left in that folder, in fact there should not even be that folder after a reboot, Reinstall MP0.2.3.0 + svn (must be same as TVServer) and restore the above folders, reconfigure the rest of the settings you may have to reinstall TVserver plugin.

    Thanks PD & Furetto

Registering the tsreader.ax did the trick. Thanks.

I think I may have another problem but I will research first.
