trying to reinstall streamedMP, getting errors (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to install the latest version of streamedMP. However, when I run the setup, it tries to uninstall the old version of streamedMP. When it does that, I get an error:

"Error 1606. Could not acccess network location \\computer-name\mediaportal db\thumbs\tv\logos."

Problem is, this networked computer is no longer available. I tried changing the MediaPortalDirs.xml file, but that didn't help. It keeps looking for that network location, which no longer exist.

Therefore, I'm not able to uninstall or install streamedMP.

any ideas? Thanks much,

esoin

    Sorry, missed this message.

Can you try going to Add\Remove program and uninstall from there please.

You could also try faking that computer on the network if you have the spare hardware then running a Repair, followed by an uninstall or upgrade.

Let me know how that goes.

    Hi, Thanks for the reply.

I tried uninstalling via "add remove programs" without much luck.

I can try faking the network path/hard-drive on another networked computer, is that what you mean? I'll give that a try.

    Thanks,

Yes, just name another computer on your network similarly and create the network path.

It should be able to find it and you can probably then do a Repair, followed by an Uninstall.

If that doesnt work, I will instruct you on how to remove it manually.
