Yes without EPG grab.

Second test run without EPG grab on the go atm, this would nrmaly fail very badly

I think I know the reason now.

The EPG grabber isn't disposed when the final sub channel is disposed and it's keeping the graph running.

Second test run pass completed without issues. NO EPG Grab.

This is important as it shows no problems left bhind by first test run on completion. A mojr problem with previous releases. which would fail very badly.

This would seem to confirm your thoughts on the EPG grab lock on subchannel.

Is it wort a test with EPG grab enabled ?

I have found a seperate unconnected issue on a third pass test run (no EPG)

I don't want to spam this important thread with it though.

I'll keep the logs for reference when completed.

It is conneted with the schedule conflict failing and refusing recordings although setuptv will accept direct timeshifting of the same channel.

I have added v12 to the 1st post. It has an EPG Aborter which should stop the deadlock.

Can you give it a test with Idle and timeshifting EPG grabber enabled.

Instant BSOD as a the idle EPG grabber is stopped for a recording.

I realy dislike the IDLE EPG as it has seriously flawed logic.

It ignores the last time the channel was updated irrespective from which channel and uses when the last time the channel was tuned and grabbed from.


Anyway importantly; after BSOD the service started and as there was an existing schedule this started (ie idle epg didn't start) so I carried on the test which finshed withot problems (timeshift epg).
The idle EPG has kicked in now so I will let this run and then see what happpens when I timeshift/record.

This is going to take some time to fix m8. I recommend you use the v11 and turn off the epg grabber for the moment. Until I can get to the root cause of the issue.

V11 didn't get uploaded to page 1 and checking my downloads I don't have it.

V10 was the last before V12 I have tested.
