I just started using MP last week. I have worked on it to get everything to work (through the help of this forum) but it records a non tuned picture when it resumes from standby. The Scheduler plugin works on occassions and very rarely. I found it much easier to use the PVR Plugin which does work seamlessly. However it wakes the computer starts MP and starts to record the correct channel however it is just a snowy picture (non tuned). It will work if the computer is on and MP is on and records perfect picture. I have tried turning MP off before going to standby but no change. I have not tried hibernate because if you put the computer in Hibernate you cannot wake it with the remote. When you start MP normally the picture comes on perfect.

I have a Celeron 2.6 with 256 of RAM. I am using the Hauppauge PVR USB2.

I tried to install the latest SVN and that did not help my situation. Anyway I did get the computer to go to standby and wake up for the recordings and start recording the correct channel using the PVR-Scheduler Plugin but it still does not get the tuner to bring in the picture only a snowy non-tuned picture. I also noted that if you try to run the setup wizard it says that it is analog and finds about 9 channels. However when you run it from the MP setup it finds all the channels correctly. Could that be the problem?

Has there been any progress on this issue

I have just started using the MP and found it very useful. Problem is when MP either goes to Standby or Hibernate it will upon waking up record snow. I have to shut down MP to get the channels back. I have a PVR150.

what does TV do when you standby and resume by hand? There is an error that causes "black screen after resume". I have it when using the autostart plugin.

I think it is caused by a directX error. Do you have an error in your log called "D3DERR_DEVICELOST"?

thanks+regards

    Hi,
The D3DERR_DEVICELOST error MP can handle (if you got a D3DERR_INVALIDCALL, that will cause trouble), I have D3DERR_DEVICELOST in my log too & no black screen after hibernating.

Make sure that the card has the nessesary "Antenna / cable" option selected in MP Setup -> Television -> Capture Cards -> your card & Edit.

    Hi,
I have the error D3DERR_DEVICELOST when pc going to suspend, but all works after resume from standby...
However how can I do for delete this D3D error?

This error is in my MP logs from about three months....

I have configured Antenna (that is correct).

    Thanks,

The error cames every time on a standby / hibernate situation & for now you can't get rid of it, but it does not harm you system either :)

Can I add my voice to this one - I'm using 0.2.0.0 with a DVB-T tuner and getting blank TV when resuming from either standby or hibernate. The TV picture is completely black and there is no sound. Everything else works just fine. Once it has happened, shutting down MP and restarting it still doesn't work, I need to cold boot the machine to see any TV again...
