[confirm] TV channel changing up/down with MCE remote is buggy in MP2 Snapshot 2016-01-01 and MP 1.13.0 (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have a server/client install and a sepparate client install with MP2 Weekly Snapshot 2016-01-01. Also I have a MP 1.13.0 client/server in the living room. Both have the same TV server version and both have the same troubles with changing TV channels using the up/down buttons on the MCE remote. It does not work as it should instead it jumps several channels back and forth to a random channel. This started after upgrading MP 1.12.0 to 1.13.0 and also this happens with MP2. In MP 1.13.0 configuration the HID device option is checked. I have attached the MP2 logs as well as the MP1.13 logs here.

I have submitted a bug report for MP2 here -> https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...mp2-snapshot-2016-01-01-and-mp-1-13-0.133274/

It also has the same issues with MP 1.13.0.

For MP1 did you check that 'Media' input handler is disabled?

MP2 is using a port of the now withdrawn MP1 'Microsoft MCE' input handler.
HID demo is responding as it should to your channel change commands.

Are you using an IR repeater/blaster? Do you have maybe 2 IR receiver? Are you using EventGhost and/IRSS?

Hi,

there is no option for media input handler in MP1 1.13.0. If you mean the media tab. There is no option checked.

I made the upgrade to 1.13.0 and the former MCE Tab was removed completely. 'Use generic HID device' option was checked automatically after the upgrade.

By the way: there is also the same problematic behaviour for the Microsoft MCE Keyboard.

I am using no IR repeater/blaster or IRSS just plain original Microsoft MCE setup with remote and keyboard with one MCE receiver.

There is a 'Media' tab in MP1 config. I don't know about MP2.

This one is unchecked in MP1 Config.

MP2 does not have an option for it which could be configured.

Did you try running MP1 without plugins and on default skin through our Watchdog?
