    So I had to kill MP2 using taskkill command.

    Later this evening I realized that the TV channel was still being timeshifted on the server.
    This was evident when using setuptv / manual control section.

    Maybe the heartbeat function is not yet implemented within mp2 ?

    Killing the Client does not Stop / Kill Mp2-server... So the TV will continue to run as expected

    I think you misunderstood me :)

    Once I kill MP or it crashes etc. there should be a missing heartbeat registration on the TV engine.
    TV3 should handle this in a way to make sure to stop any timeshifting on behalf of that MP user that just died. Otherwise timeshifting will keep running on the server. It will probably prevent if from entering standby.
    I talking multiseat here ofcourse.
    This worked in MP1/tve .. I know b/c I implemented the original heartbeat signal as I recall.

    If you look here into the logs (row 166) it seems a heartbeat control is implemented in MP2. But honestly I never heard about it.
    Perhaps a look into the project can solve this.

    MP2-Client only communicates with the MP2-Server and TV process
    Just killing the Client should have no affect on the server process

    I just re-read this thread and now understand....
    You killed the MP2 Client while watching a channel, there-for timeshifting was being used and did not stop.
    @morpheus_xx any thoughts?

    I am going to check this. We get notifications when a client (dis-)connects, I try to use this information to stop timeshift.
