Finally solved this after a long Night. When I disconnected WAN on my Router it worked. So it was the same Problem as here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ice-mysql-5-1-db-wont-connect-internet-77597/

I'm not quite sure what the solution was. I think it was to change the DNS-Server on Client and Server (used Googles DNS 8.8.8.8). But did some Router changes too..

I'm trying to solve the same problem. This link above simply points to a thread that points to this thread. In other words, they both say "I solved the problem by using this other thread" but neither thread explains what the solution is!!!!

Anyway, the problem has (almost) gone away. I just tried again, having changed nothing, and it connects. I can see the epg from my htpc and can see previously recorded shows. HOwever, if I try to watch a show or recorded show, the screen goes black and MP seems to be totally dead. No cpu, no network activity.

I am using 1.1 RC1 and I have the same problem, just from one day to another my client cannot connect to the tv server. I can start the TV page, I can see the guide, program stuff and so. I can even watch recorded stuff. But when i want to see live TV it gifs me an error. 'connection to the tv service lost'. Sometimes 'unknown error', sometimes 'no audio/video' and sometimes MP stops responding. This is only on one client. My other htpc is still working like a charm and giving me no errors at all.

I even reinstalled the client with a fresh win 7 install but it didn't help. Firewall is off.

    Any Ideas?

Hmm strage. I switched the option 'dns relay' off in my d-link router and it did the trick. Both clients work again, but still strange because it has worked with that option enabled.
