Would it be possible to add an option for Mediaportal to "pass through" the video to the TV if the video source is 1080i? That way the deinterlace task would be done by the TV if the graphic card is no capable?
Some video codecs and GPUs can be configured to not deinterlace the video. However, the output from the GPU to the TV is always progressive (ie. not interlaced). When the video arrives at the TV, the TV would need special processing to recognise that the input needs to be deinterlaced. I could be wrong, but I don't think that special processing exists in any TV (for PC inputs).

Is nvidia GT610 able to deinterlace 1080i fluently or better buy a GT720?
    Pass.

    Pass.

Sorry for my English, but does "pass" means that both cards are OK, or that you are not sure?

    Thanks!

Please do not apologise. Your English seems very good. I should not be using informal/colloquial expressions.

When I say "pass", I mean: I have no answer/comment/response. I'm not able to answer your question.
