After few months with barely normal operations, TV freezes are back. When I start TV, it randomly freezes during the first 30 minutes. When it freezes, changing channel "resumes" the playback. After around 30 minutes, it never freezes again.
I have been having this issue since I use Mediaportal (FOR YEARS). Everything is pretty cool in MP, but having the basic TV not working properly is hell.
I use the MSloopback network adapter to exclude any network side effect. I already tried RAMDisk, moving the timeshift folder to RAM, USB, HD, 2nd HD... No change.

Logs report discontinuities. I have been watching the Tuning details for hours (great program!) to catch any drop in quality or signal strength. Nothing.

Need help. Really. We are in a depressed state right now and about to throw away MP and all what it is supposed to do but that never work :mad:

I finally found time to format the hard disk, reinstall Win MCE + SP3 + RollUp2 + dvbfix + MP 1.1.
    TV is still freezing.

Attached are the logs. I am really wondering if this could just come from bad tuning or antena signal. Do you know any way to monitor signal strength? The software bundled with my TV card reports 95 to 100% quality when watching TV and works perfect.
How can I check bandwith stored by MP and compare it to broadcasted frequencies in my area?
Could this be a bug from the TV card? Any way to test or see in the logs?

    Please help!:(

Confirmed, the same in my setup. I'm going mad and WAF decreased lately. I was blackmailed :D with divorce/separation/moving to other house/apartment. This is great.

A bit of a different problem but would have the same threadname:
Watching live TV freezes up when a recording starts. That's just not good behaviour. It should jump to EPG or tv home with the message a recording was started. I've seen people reporting this...but nothing has been done about it so far...

Just a thought: do these settings in MP TV server/Timeshifting matter? The minimum/maximum, filesize parameters might be a problem?
Can someone post settings from his/hers setup?

Yesterday I thought that the TV client freezes in the same point of time (not empirically tested), so I concluded that it might be related to the capacity constraint of the first TS file. I was wrong, the second file appeared but I still feel it might be an issue.
