    Hi guys

I'm running 1.10 Pre-release and have noticed that TV audio/visual has gone out of sync.

I've tried fiddling with a stack of settings but not managed to improve anything. How can I start to debug this, or settings I should check/change?

    Cheers

    Sure, please find attached.

I did a Windows Update lastnight which also installed a new gfx driver but it made no difference and its still marginally out of sync.

    Thanks for your help

BTW I've tried both MPAR and DirectSource Audio

First thing - make sure you have 'Auto A/V sync correction' enabled in LAV Audio Decoder settings.

You also have a ton of 'Scheduling sample from the past' messages in evr.log. Have you tried running with only one screen enabled i.e. the one MP is running on ?

Also, what are your system specs......

    Thanks for your help

I've enabled Auto A/v Sync in LAV Audio Decoder, which seems to have made it worse :s

    Specs are;

    Server
    Windows 7 SP1 64bit
    Intel i5-3230m CPU@2.6Ghz
    16GB RAM
    RAM DISK 6GB
    Multi-Client UNC
    4x Tuners

    2x Clients
    Windows 7 Sp1 74bit
    Intel Core i3-3217u CPU@1.8Ghz
    8GB RAM
    SSD 250Gb

The clients are "headless" in that they have two HDMI ports but only one is connected directly into the TV other is unused. I connect via Remote Desktop to make changes and then reboot them so you might be seeing this in the logs.

Logs attached after enabling Auto A/v sync. The other client is running 1.9 and I don't think it has the problem but I'll check carefully and let you know, they are configured identically so I'll swap them over and check on the same TV.

    Cheers

In the latest logs, the display detection in evr.log is saying:

    Code:
    [2014-11-26 22:39:57,658] [ 75d38b8] [ 7f8] - Display (from windows): 1600 x 900 @ 60.000000 Hz | Measured refresh rate: 23.973115 Hz

....which doesn't make sense if you are watching TV (you are running 50Hz TV on a 24Hz display). Do you still have an RDP session running ?

    Also there are two different display resolutions in evr.log - 1920 x 1080 and 1600 x 900

Hey Owlsroost, you certainly have the eyes of an owl  I think the cause was updating the gfx driver at some point via RDP which confused the upgrade/settings. I logged on the box directly and found the display settings @ 24Hz, I changed this to 60p and everything seems to be working perfectly again all insync! :D

Thanks so much for your help, love MP! (y)

There's a reason for all the info in the logs....;)
