This is only a minor annoyance, but whenever I have a HD channel playing and go back to the TV guide (which puts the live TV in a small window at lower left), the guide background flickers. The live TV in the small window is fine. Any ideas?

Wow! looks like a tough one!
Can I infer from the description in Mantis that it might go away if I disable EVR or use a different codec?
    Do you have a suggestion?
Thanks for the quick and informative response!

Wow! looks like a tough one!

We didn't ever find out what causes the issue to appear - it seems have disapeared with latest ATI HW (4xxx / 5xxx / 6xxx).

Can I infer from the description in Mantis that it might go away if I disable EVR or use a different codec?

Software based decoders have seemed to help lot of people. Disabling EVR (usung VMR9 intead) is not a good idea. It wont work properly (and is not supported by team) in Vista / Windows 7 with MP.

    Do you have a suggestion?

Reading the whole thread might give some tricks that could help to reduce the issue.

    Hi touretttes,
Thanks for the prompt and informative response! After reading the thread it appears that some users still had problems after installing newer ATI cards. Am I better off going back to my old nVidia 6300? The Mantis description suggests that this is only a problem with the AMD/ATI HW.
Thanks for all of your hard work on MP!

I have the same problem on 1.2RC with a NVidea Card. Only happens with HD channels.
