TV Guide problems (1 Viewer)

Hey,

I recently switched to the TV server, but still did not manage to get the TV guide to work again.
With the previous tv plugin I used a script made by someone which made the tvguide.xml File.

I would love to keep using this, is this possible?

Second, I tried getting web epg to work but also no luck. My main problem is that there does not seem to be much information about web epg/tv guide for the tv server.

Yes, WebEPG cannot at this moment import the channels from the tvserver, so it has to be done by hand, make sure when you add a channel it is a exact match for the name in tvserver.

If you want XMLTV to work with the TV server, it needs to be configured in the TV Server config plugins section.
First off, click the heading "Plugins" and then select the XMLTV check box.
Then go to the actual XMLTV entry and point it to your existing XMLTV location.

As PD said, you can't import the channels from the server, but if they are configured the same from TV2 then the existing settings should be fine. Otherwise you'll have to update them manually.

Ok still no luck but thx for the XMLTV plugin info.
I was allready confused how I should point to the tvguide.xml file.

Anyway this is what I have done:
This script http://members.home.nl/robertprins/GrabTvNl.zip Builds for me the tvguide.xml file. And the xmltv.dtd file.

Than, at the xmltv plugin configuration I point to the folder where those files are.
And than made sure that the names at TV channels are the same as those in the tvguide.xml file.

And after this, no magic
Also the xmltv import status report is all blank so it has never imported a tv guide to start with?
So Iam really wondering what I'am doing wrong.

The thing I was doing wrong was not enabeling the plugin bij checking the checkbox.
Marcus did mentioned it so thx. Your guide also mentioned it.

No. The "XMLTV" folder just contains the "base application" for grabbing the data of the TV-Guide websites. The EPG data itself however is downloaded into the "WebEPG" folder.

Ok, got it working now on a client machine aswhell. This tv server software.

Only I got a problem, The streaming is a bit lag spiking, I guess since the server is connected to the LAN with a 54 mpbs wireless unit. The Tv is working flawless on the master server (single seat) but not on the client machine.

Is this the case?

//edit: After a little moment is streams ok though. Still getting a wired lan connection would be wise i guess
