I can probably take other devices off but I can't really remove the splitter (it is in the ceiling and I have no way to join the 2 plug together if I did). I though 63% sounded a bit low.
It may be only high def channels, I have asked everybody to avoid them for now and see if it helps. I have seen the problem on 10HD at least twice and SBS HD once, not sure about any others and I don't have a signal strength for SBS as the Kworld software didn't auto-tune it (probably not a good sign!).
I will try avoiding HD first and then disconnect as many other TVs as possible if need be and check the signal strength then.
Shouldn't mediaportal recover from a bas signal anyway? The bad performance would be what I would expect but I wouldn't expect it to be dependant on how long I had been watching and I wouldn't think it should ever completely freeze the TV card/driver?
I found that disabling /re-enabling the TV card driver will un-freeze the card and allow me to receive TV again after it completely stops working.
Do high definition signals require a better signal? I assumed they would but I don't really know how the system works that well.

Well, you can't blame MediaPortal for bad TV card drivers .. I suggest that is the problem?

That is the fault of the KWorld BDA drivers - have you got the latest ones installed?

I found that disabling /re-enabling the TV card driver will un-freeze the card and allow me to receive TV again after it completely stops working..
That's another clue that the problem is with the KWorld BDA drivers, coupled with low TV signal.

No, the same TV signal carries both the SD stream and the HD stream, so they would be equally affected. If you belive that it only occurs on HD, then I would suspect the video decoder that you are using?

Ah, you brought the drivers to my attention, I had been meaning to install those, I downloaded and installed them on another PC a while ago but never got round to installing the new drivers on my mediacenter, maybe that will help. I thought I had them installed but when I checked I only had the CD version, not the latest maybe that will help things. I will also update my nVidia drivers while I'm at it.

I updated my drivers and run channel 10 for a while and I didn't get any no signal or continued stuttering. I did see a new problem although it may be a one off and my signal seems to be particularly week on all channels tonight, the live TV was playing at an uneven speed (fasts-slow-fast-slow...). I will try to make another post later after I try with a better signal. I am currently having problem changing channel, possibly signal strength related.

I have a Kworld card as well, and the same thing happens me. Though, I also live in an area with poor reception strength, and the same thing happens me. I also have a Freecom USB stick too, and it does exactly the same thing. So, Im guessing its the reception strength.
