I can probably take other devices off but I can't really remove the splitter (it is in the ceiling and I have no way to join the 2 plug together if I did). I though 63% sounded a bit low.
It may be only high def channels, I have asked everybody to avoid them for now and see if it helps. I have seen the problem on 10HD at least twice and SBS HD once, not sure about any others and I don't have a signal strength for SBS as the Kworld software didn't auto-tune it (probably not a good sign!).
I will try avoiding HD first and then disconnect as many other TVs as possible if need be and check the signal strength then.
Shouldn't mediaportal recover from a bas signal anyway? The bad performance would be what I would expect but I wouldn't expect it to be dependant on how long I had been watching and I wouldn't think it should ever completely freeze the TV card/driver?
I found that disabling /re-enabling the TV card driver will un-freeze the card and allow me to receive TV again after it completely stops working.
Do high definition signals require a better signal? I assumed they would but I don't really know how the system works that well.
