I have just done a format and new install of XP Pro with all the updates. When I install the TV server it seems it is not complete. I have uninstalled and tried a couple of times but get the same thing. Any ideas what I am doing wrong. Makes no sense to me at all!!
As you can see below I have no options. :(

really poor ^^

I had the similar Problem. But at my pc only the menu below the IP disappeared. You have to rebuilt the Database.
Just execute "services.msc" in the Start/execute? (dont know how its called in english)

Then you stop all SQL-Services and TV-Service. Then you go to the Folder which contains the Databasefile. Mostly called MP2.... and delete this File. then at best reboot

That's exactly the problem I had after removing one card and adding another card to my config. The card appears in the right hand pane, but not in the left hand pane, so you can't tune it or anything. It certainly looks like you have been adding / removing cards.

Check out this link for a description of the problem I had.

Basically, I had to uninstall TV Server and SQL and delete the SQL database (MpTvDbRC2.mdf in the SQL directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data, assumming you are using MSSQL) to get it to work again. Per the post from Hammermensch, you could probably get away with just deleting the database and it would work. It certainly looks like database corruption. I don't know if this advice is 100% correct, but its what worked for me with similar symptoms.

Interesting that you used the IP address for the media server name, not sure if that may be a problem.
