Post 2010-05-24, 20:19 - complete logs.
Were they analyzed?

Man, I'm not begging for something anymore in this thread and I wrote that I solved the problem for myself.
I just replied to your post about MySQL fix.

Now I'm trying to help the team with a handler tool I try to make (read above, please).
Now there is a prototype-script for single-seat installation and I'm working on multy-seat situation.
After that I'll make a GUI for self-constructing scripts.

If you wish, you can PM me.

Respect

The logs you have provided are from a non-working network configuration. I have explained before why your subnet configuration is wrong.

Yes, you wrote about loopback adaptor.
But I'm not using it anymore. So net config is working

I can understand that it is difficult for you to provide new logs, but like I said before it is impossible for us to know what causes the issue from a set of logs that show issues most probably caused by confirmed network misconfiguration.

I'll gather new logs, please be sure.
I got some MP&TV logs and error logs simply xcopying them to my remote PC (sure those are not complete logs).

And obviously the server still has two IP addresses on the same subnet but on different physical networks as described in:
    2. All IPs are dynamically given by my router (and they are all unique). Except for static SS2 “native” IP from different subnet and static IP from the same subnet for MS loopback adaptor.

Oops, that's definitely an old log made before I disabled loopback adaptor.
Let me recollect logs these week-ends

Forgot to say - I'll also try to catch the situation when on resuming I can see "preparing to hibernation".
I some cases PC goes on working in others it goes back to hibernation.

Why don't you make remote log-monitoring?
Now I'm going to use for that Log Parser 2.2.
Simple way, but it's really needed for my handler

This is not a complete log (this piece was made remotely).

MP is not started automatically on system startup or resuming.
TVServer is not restarted by PS plugin, when resuming.
TVService in 'services' is changed to 'manual', no actions are made on crash.
On resuming my script kills MP, stops TV, restarts DVB-driver, starts TV, starts MP.

To correct the error I must:
    1. Restart PC (or)
    2. Kill MP and start TV console (always started normally (unlike in previous versions) without "TVService is not started. Do you want to start it?" Then start MP again (or)
    3. Intercept hibernation, restart TV and then send PC to hiberation by script.

Complete logs will be made tomorrow.

    PS

    1. Someone translated the last message when installation is done incorrectly.
    Now it is:
MediaPortal бесплатен - если вы купили его на eBay вы дурак!

Which means: "...if you bought it on eBay, you ARE A FOOL"
That's very offencive. The translation must be:
MediaPortal бесплатен. Если Вы купили MediaPortal на eBay, Вас одурачили

    2. I didn't check it in RC4, but in previous versions, if you go to a group tab in TVServer console and try to delete a channel completely (not remove from a group, but delete from DB), it is not deleted.
The channel is kept in DB without mapping to any TV-card.
For me, it is an incorrect SQL-query

    Hi all,

All I am seeing in this thread is complaints about the problem.

I posted a binary that might actually fix the problem, and it seems that not one person has tested it and reported back to tell us whether it works.

I presume that if the problem is still in RC5, you will carry on complaining that we are not doing anything to fix it.

Come on people, if you report a problem, and we provide a possible fix for it, at least test it so we know if we are on the right lines.

    Mark

Just wanted to report that I haven't needed to try your fix as since installing RC4 (fresh install) I haven't had any problems after resuming from hibernation. :D

There is a slightly annoying bug when hibernating whilst live tv is playing, as you have to select it twice, the first time stops live tv and the second sends the PC into hibernation, but that's a separate matter.

    Hi,

I also have random crashes of MePo if I launch TV after resuming from standby. The problem is that it is not easily reproducible, it can happen randomly after few standby (typically once a week)

I will test your update and report here in this thread.

What have you changed in your update ?

I've not seen any crashes anymore in TV after resume since I use this update (mysql.zip), but EPG import in not working anymore.
When I force import in TvServer, I got the attached pop-up and logs.

    Thanks for helping
