TV picture freeze (1 Viewer)

I've been busy as I thought that i'd install Hauppauge WinTV to give me a backup option incase I couldn't get the TV service more stable, I know... :facepalm:

This knackered the remote for use with MP...

Yeah, their latest IR32 seems to have changed a little - causes constant HcwHelper crash messages. I've got to get around to figuring out what is going on there...

So far so good....I would have posted earlier but I wanted to give it a chance to fall over, but it has been up and running well for an hour or so.

Thanks for taking the time to reply mm, much appreciated. I'll change the DVBT preference setting as I'm sure it won't do any harm as that is the only one available.

The generic one is recommended if it works. Sometimes older drivers require the specific ones (ie. DVBT, DVBS etc.). Perhaps you upgraded your drivers in the process of all the installing and uninstalling?
