TV problems with LAV filters and MP 1.2.3 (1 Viewer)

Hey, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm just wondering if this problem has resurfaced recently?
I'm running 1.6.0 with LAV 0.59.1 (from the Extension Installer) and also tried the latest LAV separately with no change.
Despite having LAV Video selected as every codec for every option in config, live TV is picking Microsoft DTV-DVD for me on live or recorded tv (HD and SD).
The only relevant line in the log seems to be
LAV Video Decoder works fine for any non-TV content.
I can happily provide full logs in a new thread if this is a new, different problem.[DOUBLEPOST=1395770476][/DOUBLEPOST]Well, I managed to fix it with 'Win7DSFilterTweaker' by changing the preferred decoder from Microsoft to LAV for just about everything. But I probably shouldn't need to do that, right? The "prefer decoders on merit" box is most definitely unticked in MePo config.
