I have a question that's related to this topic, so i figure i'd post here...

You can scan for new episodes, we get that, how about new series? Sometimes I plop a new series in my root TV folder, anyway to get MP-TVSeries to automagically detect the new series without having to open the configuration panel and "import" or restarting MP?

Also, a bit OT, but how do you sort by "Sort (Original) Name" instead of PrettyName? with PrettyName, shows like "The Big Bang Theory" end up at the bottom of the list.

Yeah that'd be one way to do it, but I'd really just like to be able to push a key and have it go there. I'd just map the TV button on my remote to whatever key would accomplish that.

It is not that hard to do depending on the remote that you use.

I have the standard Microsoft remote and I have mapped the teletext keys to MyTvSeries, MyFilms and MyMusic for quick access. Generally it is a case of finding out the Window number for the Plugin that you want and then within the remote configuration select go to screen and entering the number.

I am away at the minute so can#t give numbers but off teh top of my head 9811 and 7986 sound about right for TvSeries and MyFilms. There are a number of other threads where this is detailed better.

I can't help on the Pretty formatting issue but I can tell you that New Series are added automatically the same as new episodes.

When you next open up MP in the TvSeries plugin it will open up a window saying it has found a new series, check online and give you option to choose the right matching Series from online.

Fantastic software that just works like it should, big thanks to the developers again.

Funny, this isn't the behaviour I'm experiencing.

I just added a Planet Earth folder to my main TV sources folder and it's not showing up in MP-TVSeries. I know if I quit MP and restart it, once I go into the TVSeries plugin, it'll be found.

I'm using a Gyration MCE Remote, the key I want to map to TVSeries doesn't natively work with MediaPortal so I'm using EventGhost to turn the press of the button into a keystroke. So basically, the only way that I'll be able to accomplish this is if a keystroke will pull up the proper screen. Messing around with Remote configs isn't going to do it because MP doesn't understand my remote very well to begin with.
