I have 2 problems (hoped they would be gone with rc4...) and a question

1:
Sometimes when i press pause while watching tv, i can not continue normally after a while. It gets shown stuttering. I have to stop Tv and restart (and the part of the paused time is gone...)
That should be happend around 21:00

2:
After Wakup from standby MP shows something like"Timeshift could not be started, unknon error".
TVServer shows "preview failed: unknown error"
The time in the logs should be around 17:00

question:
I configured to read epg at 4:00. The pc waked up but just read some channels. Why not all i marked for epg?

My EPG settings are : all the marks (Häkchen) on. I tried different variations. I also tried to turn off dvb-s ebg and used the tv-movie plugin. Problem 1 and 2 are the same...

Thank you in advance

Try to set a larger timeout in for the EPG.

Hi,

I experience a similar problem regarding the standby with my FloppyDTV card. I started a thread about this in the Mediaportal 1 section, but now I realise that it should be in this section of the forum instead. This is from my other thread:

Hi,

I have used MediaPortal since 0.2.3.0 up to my current installation of RC3. Lately I have been very pleased with the performance of my HTPC. Now I only have one problem that has haunted me since the beginning:

I use Swedish Boxer as my TV provider, where my FloppyDTV is used for all channels (incl scrambled) and my HVR-1300 for the FTA channels.

Sometimes after wakeup from standby, MediaPortal can not show any of my scrambled channels. Most often when this happens i get the "an unknown error has occurred", but sometimes "can not start timeshift" or "no free tv-card available" (translated on the top of my head from Swedish). I can not view any of the channels that are assigned to my FloppyDTV card, not scrambles nor FTA channels. Thus I have located the problem to the FloppyDTV card which does not work at all in MediaPortal when this happens. If I start up FireDTV Viewer all channels work just fine, so it has to be some problem within MediaPortal/TV-server. The CAM limit is set to "0", but I have tried other values with the same problem.

When this problem has occurred, I always get the "unknown error" when I try to preview a channel assigned to the FloppyDTV in TV-server config. A restart of the TV-service usually solves the problem. But also if I just change the priority of the TV-cards back and forth, then try the preview again.

This is a very annoying problem that usually occurs once or twice a week, and makes me unable to completely trust my HTPC in waking up and recording my scheduled shows.

I have attached logs where the latest occurrences shown are when I try to view a scrambled channel (Kanal 5) and get the "unknown error" message.

I really hope that someone can help me with this problem.

Do you experience this problem every time you wake your machine from standby?
