Hi.

Can't get s/w card HVR-3000 analog to work with TV-server latest SVN. Scanning for channels result in 0 found. Is this card supposed to be working ? Works fine with MP (Mainconcept (MCE) MPEG Encoder).

EDIT:

From error.log:

I just installed the server (latest download) and I get a similar error. My NVIDIA DualTV is listed but no channel come up in the scan.

The logs show this error:
analog: ConnectMultiplexer failed

Prior to that I had tried the stand alone stable version which worked fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all!
Thanks for Your replies to this post and other similar posts. I was beginning to believe I'm the only one with this problem.

Despite the chance to sound ungrateful, it sure would be fine if the dev's could confirm that these cards aren't supported. I know they are making a tremendous effort to make this great product, but I'm getting tired of trying to get the card to work. Installing SVN every day and still disappointed.

Thanks!

Just a little update on my situation. I did a fresh install of Vista, did the setup of TV server and all now works fine. My problem might have been related to RC1.

Good luck guys.

hi tesamu
you wrote "cannot get s/w for the analog hvr 3000 card to work" - ehh - can you get anything of the hvr 3000 up and running? I have been trying for months now - running a XP MCE 2005 and I cannot get neither DVB-T / DVB-S or analog up and run.. - are you able to receive anything on a local client from the tv-server ? I get this "cannot time shift" error which in fact must be something related to that it cannot attach to the received stream..

Hi!
Yes. The card works perfect in MediaPortal, but not in tvserver. I'm not pleased with the card because it is SW encoded and use CPU to encode. I also have a PVR-150 that is hardware encoding. That one is perfect. No trouble whatsoever. No CPU-demanding. Works with everything.

The HVR-3000 works fine with Vista Media Center. But You have to install the included SoftEncoder (MCE). Use the enclosed CD and install the software in folder \MCE_soft_encoder. That will do for both MCE and MP. So that was what I hoped for in TV-server now that it is supposed to support s/w cards. But It seems it will not connect to te installed software encoder.

hi thor
the card is only sw encoded on the analog interface - the dvb-t/s sends the mpeg stream directly - but here in denmark it doesn't matter because the channels received analog can also be received digital. But - with which driver combinations where youa ble to get it up and run?

regards /ti

I'm sorry. I was talking about the analog part of the card. No problems with DVB-S. We don't have any DVB-T yet in Norway, so I can't help You with that. I installed driver 3.1a that could be downloaded from Hauppauge's site. I think there is a newer one at their site now. However it's not long ago the Hybrid cards got supported in MP, so be sure You use the latest SVN's. First of all You should get it to work with the WinTV that came with the card.
