Mhm but i think knowledge in C should be enough for that. I'll send you the patch for the share monitoring. It's really easy to read and i think with a little C knowledge it should be possible to adapt this to a trafficmonitoringfunction.

Patch send to you via PM.

Is this what you had in mind?

I can't seem to get MP server to put my vista x64 into hibernate/sleep mode. How exactly does one "disable" power management in vista? It seems like it's always on, you just have an option of which profile to use. I picked "high performance", and in advanced options, disabled all of the individual power saving options, but still no go. Can't get MP to go to sleep using power management plugin.

    Any updates

So it's working now. I will do a little more testing but i think it was the "Multimedia settings>When sharing media" power settings option in Vista. i set it to "allow the computer to sleep". All other power options are disabled or set at maximum performance except for the hdd power down which is set at 5 minutes.

    Hiya,

I noticed the .dll file which will ensue that the computer doesn't shutdown if there is traffic on the network.

Being stupid but where do I put this file and how do I get it to work?

    Hi,

I have added my patch to the patch queue, but it's unfortunately not integreted yet :-(
SourceForge.net: MediaPortal: Detail: 2180328 - Power Sheduler Network Monitor

It's only to swap the dll above with the one included in the mediaportal tv service directory, however the dll is not compiled for RC4. It may work in RC4, but then recent bugfixes will be lacking.

I will try to find some time to rebase it to RC4.

    regards
    /jonas
